NSW Premier says police actions were ‘proportionate’ to circumstances
The New South Wales Greens are calling for the state's police watchdog to investigate the conduct of officers at last night's protest against the Israeli president's visit. Premier Chris Minns says the actions were 'proportionate'. Police say they had to take action when a group of protesters tried to march from Town Hall to state parliament despite court ordered restrictions. A number of videos have been posted to social media showing violent scuffles.
