El primer empleo de Pablo es en una oficina de investigadores privados, y le encargan la vigilancia de una señora casada, de la que el marido sospecha que le es infiel. Pero Teresa, la esposa, es una mujer muy lista y rápidamente compra a Pablo con su recomendación para un buen empleo en la oficina de su marido. Clemente, el marido celoso, es un hombre que predica la más estricta moral, pero que no tiene la más mínima vergüenza y, al verse sorprendido por su mujer, utiliza a Pablo para cubrirle las espaldas y que reconozca como suyos todos los líos de faldas del jefe. Naturalmente, de estos conflictos se beneficia Pablo que sube en la empresa como la espuma, porque pase lo que pase siempre será el recomendado.

But Teresa, the wife, is a shrewd woman and quickly bribes Pablo with a recommendation for a good job at her husband's firm. Clemente, the jealous husband, preaches the strictest morals but has absolutely no shame. When his wife catches him in the act, he uses Pablo to cover for him and get him to take the blame for all of the boss's affairs. Naturally, Pablo benefits from these conflicts, rising rapidly within the company, because no matter what happens, he'll always be the one recommended.
