Christmas Chaos in Rajasthan School: Youths Storm St. Xavier’s, Students Terrorised
A tense situation unfolded at St. Xavier’s School in Rajasthan’s Nagaur district on Christmas Day when a group of 10–15 youths allegedly vandalised the campus during a Christmas function, triggering panic among nearly 400 students present at the time, as reported by Bhaskar English.
According to school director Shaitanram Changal, the youths entered the premises while students were being prepared for the programme, raised slogans, pushed students and staff, and allegedly intimidated female employees. Several students were reportedly frightened and fell amid the chaos.
School authorities said furniture was damaged, tables and chairs were overturned, and Christmas decorations were destroyed. Changal also alleged that he was physically assaulted and injured. The youths reportedly identified themselves as Bajrang Dal members and claimed they would not allow such activities.
As the situation escalated, staff confined three youths in a room and alerted the police. Kotwali Police later detained Ramnivas, Kishan Khosa and a juvenile, said to be Ramnivas’s son.
The incident has drawn sharp reactions from the Private School Association, which demanded strict action. State Secretary Vinay Sharma confirmed that an FIR has been registered and warned of statewide protests if justice is denied. He also said the association would approach the High Court if required.
Kotwali Police Station officer Vedpal Shivran said the matter is under investigation and action will follow. The incident has once again raised concerns over student safety during school celebrations.
